South Beach Psychiatric Center MTI Residential Services Building

South Beach Psychiatric Center, a 228 acre facility located on Staten Island provides intermediate level inpatient services to persons living in western Brooklyn, southern Staten Island, and Southern Manhattan. In order increase the patient capacity the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) proposes to construct a new 2 story, 25,000 square foot residential facility YU & Associates (YU) was retained by Gran Associates to be the overall Site/Civil Engineers for the design of the project and to obtain the necessary regulatory approvals.

The site work includes grading and drainage design, utility plans, and soil erosion plans. Regulatory approvals included utility connection approval from New York City Department of Environmental Protection, and wetlands permits from New York State Department of Environmental Conservation as well as United States Army Corps of Engineers.
