Montauk Station Parking Improvements

YU & Associates, Inc. (YU) has been involved in various improvement projects for the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), such as the Ronkonkoma Station Parking.

For the Montauk Station Parking Improvements project, YU provided engineering inspection during the geotechnical investigation, performed percolation tests, and evaluated the condition of existing asphaltic and concrete pavement at the site. YU presented the geotechnical analysis and recommendations for pavement rehabilitation/reconstruction of the parking lot, which included special consideration to groundwater control and stormwater drainage due to the site’s proximity to the tidal Fort Pond Bay.
