Mary C. Lang is a Principal of YU & Associates with over 30 years of diverse, multi-disciplinary experience and leadership in the design/construction industry. Her experience includes working with transportation agencies, land development clients, educational institutions, health and life science care centers and local communities to develop resilient and sustainable development strategies.
Ms. Lang’s strength is in her strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving skills for her clients. Technically she leads the firms Site/Civil Engineering and Alternative Delivery practice and is the Business Development Strategist at YU. She brings a background of both construction and design experience to every project providing the added value of knowledge from planning through opening phases. Many of her projects have been awarded the ACEC Engineering Excellence Award.
Ms. Lang has been recognized as an industry leader in her profession is the recipient of numerous leadership awards including Outstanding Women by the Women’s Builder Council as well Outstanding Women of Achievement award by the New Jersey State General Assembly; Young Engineer of the Year by the American Society of Civil Engineer, NJ Branch. Ms. Lang has been a long-time champion of empowering women in the engineering industry. She has chaired many STEM initiatives throughout the region and is always willing to mentor and guide young engineers and students.
