Mr. Joe has over 30 years of extensive experience in geotechnical engineering including foundation design and construction inspection for the following types of projects Mass Transit systems, utility and Mass Transit tunnels, airport expansion, roadway improvements, earth dams, buildings, and waterfront development.
Mr. Joe is specializes in geotechnical/tunneling instrumentation design and inspection, value engineering, construction impact study including geotechnical forensic engineering, damage claim investigation, construction monitoring (pre-construction inspection, vibration, tilt, crack, inclinometer, piezometer, load cell, strain gauge, soil pressure gauge, movement monitoring, remote monitoring and etc.), liquefaction potential study, specific seismic response study, soil and rock laboratory testing and quality control with experience in conventional project and design/build project; SOE/Underpinning design and peer review; SOE design using Ground Modifications , slope stabilization, rock netting system and blasting evaluation.
Mr. Joe has expertise with specialty deep foundation using helical auger piles, pin piles, displacement or conventional auger cast piles, Steclcor piles, mini piles, taper tube piles, screw piles, Titan piles and caissons. He also has expert level proficiency in the use of geotechnical software utilized at YU, for design including Plaxis, Deepex, Weap, Pile group, Lpile, Stabl5, PCshake, etc.
