Angela Malka is a Human Resources practitioner with over 12 years of experience in areas of EEO compliance, recruiting, staffing, classification & compensation, benefits administration, occupational health & safety, harassment training, company insurance, labor relations, management, training, and development, federal and state law compliance, and employee handbook development. She has successfully created a culture of collaboration and implemented change to achieve workforce excellence.
At YU, Ms. Malka’s responsibilities include administering and monitoring all core aspects of the Human Resources functions for the organization. Ensures that YU complies with Federal & State laws and regulations. She performs oversight and administers all hiring. Responsible for leading the on-boarding process for new employees. Administers the YU medical insurance and retirement plan and assists employees on an as-needed basis. She counsels and advises management and employees on problem resolution, supervisory discretion, and policy interpretation, and promotes diversity and inclusion in the workforce. She also contributes to the development of an effective workforce to a positive working environment in YU via employee training and coordination of employee programs/events.
Ms. Malka also enjoys mentoring up and coming staff by sharing her knowledge and passion for her profession. Additionally, Angela brings with her to YU over 40 years of experience in the field of administration where she supported C-Suite executives.
