YU & Associates, Inc. (YU) was retained by the Essex County Improvement Authority (ECIA) to provide environmental services associated with the Newark Bears Riverfront Stadium field reconstruction.
YU provided bid specifications and contract documents to address environmental concerns associated with disturbance of soil beneath the existing engineered cap. During construction, YU provided soil and groundwater management and monitoring services. These services were provided on a rapid turnaround basis in order to meet the time critical construction schedule.
As part of this project, YU provided an amendment to the Remedial Action Report and modified the Deed Notice to reflect the post-construction change of conditions while acting as the liaison between ECIA and NJDEP. During construction, YU provided quality assurance oversight, perimeter air monitoring, progress meeting support and submittal review services to ECIA.
