Yu & Associates (YU) was retained as the Environmental Engineer to investigate and obtain subsurface information to screen soil and groundwater for potential contamination within the vicinity of the proposed construction. Field exploration work plan and Health & Safety Plan preparation, document research, boring and sampling analyses, data evaluation, and engineering reports were included among YU’s scope of work. YU prepared construction specifications for the excavation and handling of waste materials to minimize costs associated with the potential environmental risks. YU also performed geotechnical boring inspection and prepared boring logs for the contractor.
